Tonic Media

We started Tonic Media in Mumbai a while back. It's a busy place in the 400067 zip code area. We handle media things here, which mostly means computers and screens all day. The office is in a typical Mumbai building that’s seen better days. Some days it gets really loud because of the traffic and people shouting outside. We have a small team here. Everyone knows how each other takes their tea or coffee. We don't have a fancy lobby with a marble floor or anything. Just some desks, old chairs, and a lot of wires. We do a lot of clicking and typing on most afternoons. Sometimes the internet slows down when it rains, but we just manage. We keep up with whatever work comes in through the emails. It’s a lot of coordination between us. Mumbai moves very fast, so we try to keep pace without getting too stressed out. We don't really have a big grand story about how we were founded. We just showed up and started working one day and haven't stopped since. Now we're here at this address. We deal with clients who need stuff done quickly. It’s mostly about deadlines and making sure the files look right. Sometimes we have to stay late when a big project is due. That's just how the life is here. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just like doing the work properly and going home. The office is functional.
