Tiffin Express

You can find Tiffin Express right over at Devish Sadan, number 355/14, on Bhandarkar Road. We are directly across from the Matunga Post Office, which makes it easy for people to find us. Matunga Central East is a busy part of town, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to work. We are usually up and moving long before the post office even opens its doors. The building we are in has that classic Mumbai feel, a bit weathered but solid. We spend most of our time packing up bags and making sure everything is ready to go out. The sound of metal tiffins clanking is like the background music for our whole day. Bhandarkar Road is always full of cars and people walking to the station, so there is never a quiet moment. We’ve got our shelves lined with containers and the floor is usually covered in crates. It’s a tight space, but we make it work by staying on our toes. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult, especially when the street gets flooded, but we just keep going. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn until late afternoon. We don’t have any fancy signs or big displays, just the work we do every day. It’s a local operation, and we like being part of the Matunga community where people recognize us on the street and know what we are about.
