The Tinplate Co Of India Ltd.

Our office for The Tinplate Co Of India Ltd. is over in Powai, in the Daffodil Building. We are on the 1st floor, unit A-4. Hiranandani Gardens is a pretty nice area with a lot of trees and clean streets, which is a bit of a contrast to the industrial stuff we deal with. Tinplate is basically thin steel sheets coated with tin, and while we don't make it right here in the office, we spend all day talking about it. The office is bright because of the big windows, and we can see people walking their dogs or going to cafes outside. It’s a lot of computer work, tracking shipments, and talking to the people at the factory. We have a small pantry where we make coffee and eat our lunch. It’s not a very big team here, so we all know each other well. Sometimes the rain in Mumbai makes the commute to Powai a bit of a nightmare, but once we are in the office, it’s okay. We keep samples of the tinplate on a side table so we can show people if they ask. It’s a very specific industry, and we spend a lot of time explaining the different grades of plate to customers over the phone. We just keep our heads down and try to stay on top of the orders so everything runs smooth.
