The Riot Room

You’ll find us at Kothari House No 3, over on Tikuji Ni Wadi Road in Manpada-Thane West. We are pretty close to Laxmi Snacks and right across from Happy Valley. It’s a bit of a lively area. The Riot Room is basically a place where people come to blow off steam or just have a bit of a wild time. It’s not a quiet library, that’s for sure. We spend a lot of our time cleaning up after groups and making sure everything is ready for the next bunch of people to come in. The space has its own vibe, maybe a bit rough around the edges, but that’s the point. We aren't trying to be a fancy lounge. We’ve been here in Thane for a while and have seen all sorts of people come through. Some days are slow, and we just sit around talking, and then suddenly it’s the weekend and everything goes crazy. We handle the bookings and make sure the rules are followed so nobody gets hurt. It’s a lot of physical work, moving things around and resetting the rooms. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who live nearby and know the area. It’s a straightforward job. We open up, let people in, and try to keep the chaos contained. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, but the neighbors are mostly okay with it.
