We are way up on the 10th floor of Mastermind V, in office 1016. Being that high up gives us a pretty good view, but we are usually too busy looking at clipboards to notice. The Red Carpet Event Organizers is the name we use. It sounds fancy, but most of our time is spent dealing with cables, plastic chairs, and vendors who are running late. It's a lot of logistics. You wouldn't think an events company involves so much paperwork, but it really does. We have to make sure every little permit and invoice is sorted out. The office is usually full of boxes and leftover decorations from the last job. We try to keep it organized, but it's a losing battle most of the time. We are a small group of people who just like the chaos of putting an event together. There is a lot of running around, especially on the day of a show. We don't really do the glamorous stuff ourselves; we are the ones behind the scenes making sure the lights turn on. It is a lot of late nights and early mornings. Sometimes the lift in the building takes forever, which is a pain when you're in a hurry. But we like being here. It’s a good base for us. We just keep moving from one project to the next, trying to stay ahead of the schedule. We don't really do the sales talk, we just show up and work.
