The Plastic Export Promotion Council

The Plastic Export Promotion Council is located on the ground floor of Crystal Tower. We are on Gundivali Road No 3, just off Sir M.V. Road in Andheri East. This part of Mumbai is really the heart of the industrial side of things. Being on the ground floor is convenient because we have people coming in all day with paperwork for their exports. It’s a lot of talk about shipping, customs, and plastic grades. The office is functional and has that government-adjacent feel to it, even though we are a council. There are rows of filing cabinets and desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend our time helping people figure out the rules for sending their products abroad. It can be a bit dry, but it’s important work for the people in the industry. Outside, the road is always packed with trucks and rickshaws. The noise of the city is just part of our daily background. We have a small area where visitors can wait and read some of the trade journals we keep around. It’s not a place for flashy decor. We just focus on the task at hand. The staff here has been around for a long time, so we know the system pretty well. We’re just here to keep the wheels of the plastic trade turning. It is a lot of routine work, but it matters to the folks exporting goods.
