Tawakkal Sweets

Tawakkal Sweets is located on Sandhut Road in Sector 22 26. We have been here for a while, and the shop has seen better days, but the kitchen still works fine. We spend our mornings making different types of sweets and snacks. It is a lot of manual work, stirring big pots and traying things up as they cool. The air in here usually smells like sugar and frying oil, which some people like and some do not. We have those glass display cases that we have to wipe down constantly because of all the fingerprints from people pointing at what they want. It is not just about the sugar though; we do some savory snacks too for the afternoon tea crowd. Sometimes the batch does not turn out exactly like the one before, but that is just what happens when you are making things by hand. We get busy during the festival seasons, and then the whole family has to come in and help out. The rest of the year, it is just a steady stream of regulars who live in the sector. We do not have fancy packaging, just the regular boxes and paper bags. If you are looking for a place that has been doing the same thing for years without changing much, that is us. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes by to buy a little something.
