We’ve been here in Pune for a good while now. Most days just start with the usual commute through the city traffic before we get to the office and settle in at the desks. It is a big operation here at Tata Consultancy Services, so there is always something going on or someone moving around the halls. You see a lot of people coming in and out every day, mostly just focused on whatever project is sitting on their screens. We have our tea breaks and lunch, which is when the place actually feels a bit more lively. It isn't always exciting, honestly. Sometimes it is just a lot of typing and long meetings that go on longer than they probably should. The Pune weather is usually decent though, which helps when you are stuck inside for most of the daylight hours. We deal with a lot of technical stuff and software, but at the end of the day, it's just a bunch of us trying to get the work done so we can head home. The building itself is pretty standard, nothing too fancy, just plenty of computers and whiteboards everywhere you look. We don’t really do much for show here. It’s more about just keeping things running and making sure the clients don’t have anything to complain about. It’s a steady job and the people are alright once you get to know them. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years since we first set up here.
