If you work near the International Airport, you know the Approach Road in Sahar. That’s where Taj Sats Air Catering Ltd is based. We are in Andheri East, right in the middle of all the airport action. You can hear the planes taking off and landing all day and night. It’s a huge operation, but when you’re on the floor, it’s just a lot of people working hard. We have to follow a lot of rules because of where we are. It’s not like a small neighborhood cafe. Everything is timed and checked. We spend our shifts making sure the food is ready for the flights. It’s a lot of pressure because the planes won't wait for us. Even though it’s a big company, the work is still done by people with their hands. We are always moving, whether it’s packing trays or loading trucks. The Sahar area is always congested with traffic, so just getting to work can be a challenge. We don't have much time for chatting during the shift. It’s all about the schedule. People think it’s glamorous because it’s for airlines, but it’s actually just a lot of repetitive work and staying on your feet. We do our best to keep things moving smoothly. It’s a different kind of world inside the airport zone, where the clocks never stop and the work keeps piling up every hour.
