T Lakhamshi Lodha Company

T Lakhamshi Lodha Company is based in the Masjid area, specifically in Daxeshwar Nagar. We are located in shop number 298 of the Jhatha Ghar building. This part of Mumbai is incredibly crowded. The streets are so narrow that sometimes two people can barely pass each other, let alone a cart. The building is quite old and has that heavy, solid feel to it. Our shop is small and filled with stacks of papers and samples. We’ve been here for a long time, and the walls show it. There are marks where furniture has been moved over the years and the paint is peeling a bit in the corners. We don’t mind it much. It’s just the character of the place. Being in Masjid means we are right in the heart of the old trading district. There’s a constant noise of porters moving goods and people shouting to get through the crowd. We spend our days handling orders and talking to suppliers on the phone. It’s a lot of manual record-keeping and double-checking figures. We don’t have any modern office furniture. Most of our chairs are wooden and have been around for decades. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, but it works for us. We close up when the sun goes down because the street lighting isn't great. It’s just a regular workday in one of the busiest spots in the city.
