Sweets Sparkle

Sweets Sparkle is located up on the 5th floor of the Amar Jyot building. It’s inside the New Sonal Link Heavy Industrial Estate in Ghatkopar East. Getting up to the 503/203 area can be a bit of a walk if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. Our place is usually busy with the smell of sugar and whatever we are making that day. It’s an industrial estate, so there is always the sound of machines and people shouting to be heard over the noise. We have boxes stacked up ready to be moved out, and sometimes it feels like we are tripping over them. The fifth floor gives us a bit of a view, but we are usually too busy to look out the window. We make a variety of sweets and treats here. It’s a lot of manual work, stirring and packing and making sure everything is labeled right. The floors can get a bit sticky, but we try to keep things moving along. Working in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by all kinds of other businesses, from garments to plastics. It’s a hardworking environment. We don't have a storefront where you can sit and eat; it is more about the production side of things. We start early in the morning when it’s still cool and keep going until the daily orders are finished and the delivery trucks are loaded up.
