About Swadish Sweet & Farsan Corner – Food & Beverages in Mumbai
Our shop is tucked away at Vile Parle East 203. It's a busy little corner where we spend most of our mornings packing up farsan and stacking the sweet boxes. There is always something frying or some syrup being boiled in the back. The air usually smells like cardamom and fried besan. We get a lot of locals who come in for their daily snacks or when they have guests coming over. It’s not a big place, so it can get a bit cramped when it's festive season or even just a busy Sunday morning. We try to keep the glass counters full, but things sell out faster than we expect sometimes. We’ve been at this address for quite a bit now. It’s just us and a few helpers making sure everything is ready by the time people start moving about. We don't use any fancy machines, mostly just doing things by hand like it’s always been done. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from the flour, and we’re constantly cleaning up. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. If you are around Vile Parle, you’ve likely seen our sign. We don't change things much around here. The sweets are there, the snacks are crunchy, and we are usually behind the counter waiting for the next person to walk in. That’s our day, from early morning until we pull the shutters down late in the evening.
