Sushila International

We are based on the 1st floor of No. 11/15 in Vitthalwadi. If you know Mumbai, you know how packed this area is. The building is old and the stairs are quite narrow, so carrying heavy rolls of cloth up can be a real workout. At Sushila International, our space is filled with stacks of fabric that almost reach the ceiling. It’s not very organized, to be honest, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend most of our time dealing with exporters and local traders. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, and the noise from the street downstairs never really stops. It’s a gritty, busy place to work, but it has a lot of character. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. It’s just us, some old desks, and a lot of textile samples. We eat our lunch at our desks most days because there’s always something to do. Usually, we are busy checking shipping documents or talking to people on the phone. The light comes in through some small windows, and it can get pretty stuffy in the afternoon heat. But we’ve been here for years and we’re used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s just a normal, hardworking office where we try to get things right and keep the business ticking along every day.
