Sun Purse And Manufacturers is up on the first floor of Station Plaza, right on Station Road in Bhandup. We are located at B/1002, which is just above the Bageecha Hotel. You can often smell the food from the hotel downstairs while we are working, which makes us hungry before lunchtime even starts. Being so close to the station means there is a constant stream of people coming and going. The sound of the trains and the traffic is just part of the background for us now. Since we do manufacturing, the shop isn’t just a retail space. We have sewing machines and scraps of material everywhere. There’s always the sound of machines running and people cutting fabric. It’s not a quiet place, and it’s certainly not a neat one. We have rolls of plastic and leatherette leaning against the walls. We make all kinds of purses and bags right here. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which is frustrating, but that’s life in Bhandup. We don't have a big marketing department or a website with professional photos. We just make the purses and sell them to whoever needs them. Most of our customers are people who work nearby or commute through the station. We’ve been on this floor for a long time, and we’ve seen businesses come and go, but we just keep our heads down and keep sewing.
