Suleman Mithaiwala

We are located right on Mohammed Ali Road at number 41, F/G. If you know this street, you know it’s one of the busiest and most crowded places in the city, especially during the festivals. We’ve been in this spot for a very long time, and the shop hasn't changed much over the years. We still use the same kinds of big pans and open fires to make everything. It’s hot work, and the kitchen is always loud with the sound of stirring and people shouting orders. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just the counters full of sweets and the staff busy behind them. Most of the people working here have been with us since they were young. We start early in the morning, getting the milk and sugar ready, and we don't really stop until late at night. The smell of ghee and sugar is something you just get used to after a while. It’s a lot of hard work, standing on your feet all day and dealing with the constant flow of customers coming in from the street. We don't really bother with advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are because we’ve always been here. Sometimes the crowd gets a bit much, but it’s part of the life on Mohammed Ali Road. We just keep making the sweets the way we always have, day after day.
