We’ve been here in Bhayander East 9 for quite a while now. It mostly started out as a small family thing with just a few poles and some fabric. We handle the tents and the seating for local weddings and various neighborhood functions. Usually, people just come by the shop to talk about what they need for their upcoming events. It gets really busy during the marriage season, and we’re often out late at night setting things up or tearing them down. We have a lot of different colored cloths and bamboo poles stored in the back of the space. Sometimes the weather makes the work really hard, especially when it rains, but we always manage to get it done on time. The team is just a few local guys who know how to tie the knots right and move the heavy stuff. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning, just the main workspace here. It’s honest work and we really like seeing the finished setup when the lights finally go on. My father was the one who started this and now I’m the one helping to run the day-to-day. We know most of the families around this part of Bhayander quite well. Sometimes things get a bit messy or disorganized during the monsoon, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We try to keep our gear in okay shape. People find us by word of mouth mostly. We keep things simple here.
