We are located at Shop No-7 in the A.V. Mangal Murti Plaza, which is part of the Sanghvi Galaxy over in Khetwadi. Specifically, we’re on No-10 Khetwadi, which is a very tight area. If you’ve ever been to Khetwadi, you know how narrow the streets are and how many small shops are packed into every building. We do forging work, which means it can get pretty loud and messy in our little corner of the plaza. The shop isn't very large. We have to be very careful about how we stack our materials. Most days, we’re busy with hammers or machines. We make sure the metal pieces are shaped right. It’s hard work. Your hands get dirty within the first five minutes of the shift. We’ve been in this spot for several years now and we know all the other shop owners around us. We often share tea or help each other out when a heavy delivery arrives. There’s no air conditioning here, just a few fans that try their best against the Mumbai heat. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign. Most of our work comes from people who know us or other businesses in the neighborhood who need something forged. It’s a basic operation, but we just get the work done without making a big deal out of it. It’s just life in Khetwadi for us.
