Dukhiram Maurya Engineering & Refractory Works (India) Pvt Ltd

We are located at the Universal Business Park in Powai. It is a bit of a different vibe here compared to the smaller street shops. Dukhiram Maurya Engineering & Refractory Works is more about the industrial side of things. We deal with furnaces and high-heat materials, which is a bit of a niche business. My father started this many years ago and I have been carrying it on since then. This office in Powai is where we handle all the paperwork and talk to the guys who are out at the factory sites. It is a lot of technical talk about fire bricks and furnace linings that most people would not find very interesting. We have been doing this for a long time now, mostly for factories and plants that need their equipment to handle very high temperatures. It is not the kind of job where you see the results immediately, but it is important work. We have a small team here in the office and a bigger group of workers out on the sites doing the actual masonry and engineering. It gets a bit hectic when we have three or four projects going on at the same time. I spend a lot of my day on the phone or looking at technical drawings. Powai is a nice place to be based, even if the traffic is a nightmare during rush hour. We just focus on getting the engineering right and keeping the work steady. It is a quiet, professional way to spend the day.
