Om Forging Engineering Pvt Ltd is located in Bhuleshwar, at Shop No 19 on the Ground Floor of the D Wing. Bhuleshwar is a very crowded market area, so it’s always a bit of a struggle to get through the lanes. Our shop is quite small for the kind of work we do, which is metal forging and engineering parts. We have heavy tools and some machinery squeezed into the space. It is usually dark inside because we are on the ground floor, so we have to keep the tube lights on all day. There is a lot of soot and grease around, which is part of the job. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the middle of a job with our hands dirty. We take orders for specific parts that people can’t find elsewhere. It’s a lot of measuring and double-checking. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of town, and we just have to sit and wait with a cup of tea until it comes back. It’s not a fancy office at all. We have an old wooden desk where we do the billing and keep the stamps. Most of our clients are other small businesses who have known us for years. It’s just hard, honest work in a busy part of Mumbai. The floor is made of rough concrete and is covered in metal shavings. We spend a lot of time sharpening our tools after the work day ends.
