Stage Craft

Stage Craft is our little workspace in Prabhadevi, situated on Curley Street at 17 B. It’s more of a workshop than a traditional store. We deal with various materials and projects that keep our hands busy most of the time. The floor is usually covered in scraps of wood or bits of fabric, depending on what we are working on that day. Curley Street is a bit of a hidden spot, not as noisy as the main roads in Prabhadevi, which is nice when we need to concentrate. We don't have a big reception desk or a waiting area. If someone comes by, they usually just walk right into the middle of whatever we are making. The building at 17 B is an older structure, so it has its quirks, like the heavy door that sticks in the monsoon. We have tools hanging on the walls and sketches pinned up wherever there is space. It's a functional environment. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because the work speaks for itself. People find us through word of mouth mostly. We might be covered in paint or sawdust when you visit, but that’s just the nature of what we do at Stage Craft. It's a messy, creative life, and we’ve been at this Prabhadevi location for quite some time now, just getting the jobs done one by one. It’s just how we operate here.
