Soul Events And Consultancy is located in the Ijmima Complex, specifically at 415. It’s a large building and it can be a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. Our office is a simple space with a few desks and a lot of papers scattered around. We spend most of our time on the phone or typing out emails to vendors. Planning events involves a lot of small details that people don't usually see. We have to check on things like chairs, lights, and whether the venue has enough power outlets. It isn't always exciting work. A lot of it is just waiting for someone to call you back or trying to find a backup plan when something goes wrong. We also do some consultancy where we talk to people about how to organize their own things. We’ve been doing this for a while, so we have a good idea of what usually breaks first. The office can get pretty cramped when we have samples of decorations or posters leaning against the walls. We try to keep a schedule, but in this business, things change at the last minute all the time. Sometimes the internet goes down in the complex and we have to use our phone hotspots to finish work. It’s just a small team of us trying to keep everything on track for our clients.
