Sonigara Overseas

You can find us up on the first floor of Dhanak Mansion on Kalbadevi Road. If you have ever spent any time in Vithalwadi, you probably know how hectic and crowded it gets around this part of town. Our office is not very large, but there is enough space for our desks and the stacks of paperwork we have to deal with every day. We handle overseas trade, which mostly means we spend a lot of time on phone calls and sending out emails. The building itself is quite old, just like many of the other structures in Kalbadevi. The stairs can be a bit steep and narrow, but you get used to that after making a few trips up and down throughout the week. We spend most of our time tracking different shipments and making sure things are moving to where they are supposed to go. It is not exactly exciting work, but it is what we do here. There is always the sound of heavy traffic from the road coming through the windows. We often have cardboard boxes stacked in the corner waiting to be sorted out or sent away. It gets a bit dusty because of all the construction happening nearby, so we have to spend time cleaning off the surfaces. We are just a small team working out of this spot. Sometimes the internet connection is slow and that makes things a bit difficult.
