Soni Mandap Decorators

Our base is right in the middle of Crawford Market on Krishna Singh Lane. We are at F 155, which is a busy little spot packed with all sorts of things. Soni Mandap Decorators has been around these narrow lanes for years, and we are used to the constant movement of people and carts. Our space is mostly full of bamboo poles, colorful drapes, and big crates of decorations. It is quite a squeeze inside F 155, especially when we are preparing for a big wedding or a festival. Krishna Singh Lane is always crowded, so we have to be very quick when we are loading or unloading the trucks. It is a lot of physical work, and our hands are usually dusty or stained with some kind of dye. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning; we just have our warehouse and a small corner with a desk and a telephone. Most of the time, we are out at the venues, but this is where all the equipment lives. People know us in Crawford Market because we have been here so long. We deal with the heat and the noise every day, and that is just part of the job. It is a honest way to make a living, and we take pride in the stuff we carry out of this little lane. It might look messy to someone from outside, but to us, every pile of fabric has its place and its purpose.
