Somu Prints

We are located on the ground floor at Shop No 2 in the Karam building, Malad East. It is right on the 4th Main Road, across from Sugura Park and near the APMC Yard. The shop is pretty small, and the printing machines take up nearly all the space. When the machines are running, the whole floor vibrates a little and it gets quite warm. We spend most of our day standing up, checking the ink levels and making sure the paper doesn't jam. The smell of fresh ink is something you just get used to after a while. We don't have any fancy signs or big displays. Most people find us because they live in the area or they are doing business at the yard nearby. There is always a stack of flyers or posters waiting to be picked up near the front door. We keep the door open to let in a bit of a breeze, but that also lets in the noise of the traffic from the main road. It is a busy spot, especially in the afternoons when everyone is trying to get their orders finished. We handle the files people bring in on their thumb drives and try to get the colors right. It is just regular work, nothing special. We’ve been in this Malad location for a while, and we know the routine of the street pretty well by now. We finish up, lock the shutters, and head home.
