Solar Fashion (a Division Of Solar Tradelinks Pvt. Ltd. )

Solar Fashion is a division of Solar Tradelinks Pvt. Ltd. and we are up on the 3rd floor of Bhagat House. The address is 5-a Shyam Nagar in Jogeshwari East. Being on the third floor means we have to use the elevator which is sometimes out of order so we end up taking the stairs quite often. It’s a good workout I suppose. The space inside is quite large and we have a lot of sewing machines set up in rows. There is always the sound of needles clicking and the hum of motors going. We do a lot of fashion work here and you’ll see half-finished garments hanging from racks all over the place. It’s a bit messy with thread and pins on the floor but that is just part of the job. The windows look out over the rooftops of Shyam Nagar and you can see the trains passing by in the distance. We have a small office tucked in the corner where the management handles the accounts and the planning. The air conditioning is a bit old and loud but it’s necessary in this Mumbai weather. We don't have a fancy lobby for guests. Most people who come here are suppliers or delivery guys. We just focus on getting the stitching right and meeting our deadlines. It’s a busy place with a lot of energy and we usually go home pretty tired at the end of every day.
