Sims Sugar Spice

Sims Sugar Spice is tucked away in the Gagan Shopping Arcade over in Goregaon East. We are right near Film Cit, so we get all kinds of people walking past our window. It’s a cozy little spot where we keep a variety of things on the shelves. We have been here for a few years now. The arcade can get quite busy in the evenings when everyone is out doing their shopping. We aren't a big chain store or anything like that. It’s just a local shop where we try to keep things simple. You’ll find different spices and some sweet things we put together ourselves. Sometimes the display isn't perfectly straight, but the quality of what's inside the jars is what matters to us. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements. We just rely on the people living in the nearby buildings to stop by when they need something for their kitchen. I usually sit behind the small counter and chat with the regulars. It’s nice to know the people in the community. Sometimes we try out new items to see if anyone likes them. The shop gets a lot of light in the morning, which makes it a nice place to spend the day. We don't have a mission statement or anything corporate like that. We just want to provide decent stuff at a fair price and stay open as long as the arcade is busy. It’s a quiet life but we enjoy it.
