We’ve been working out of Flat 403 for a long time now. It is on the fourth floor of C Wing, right there in Kandivali East on New Bel Road. If you know Dattani Park, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a busy office, mostly filled with stacks of paperwork and boxes waiting to go somewhere. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking tracking numbers on the computer screens. The lift in this building can be a bit slow some days, so we end up waiting around with the delivery guys quite a bit. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where things get done. There’s usually a pot of tea going somewhere and the sound of the fan overhead. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot from this window. Most of the people around here know us as the ones always dealing with the air freight stuff. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the traffic picks up outside on the main road, but you get used to it. We keep our files organized as well as we can, though things get messy when a big shipment comes through. It’s just how it is when you’re moving stuff across the world from a fourth-floor flat in Kandivali. We just focus on the labels and making sure the addresses are written clearly so nothing gets lost. It can be a long day when the flights are delayed, but we just stay until the last parcel is accounted for and ready to go.
