Our place, Alankar Fabrics Pvt. Ltd., is located out on Mumbai Agra Road in Deabhane. We are in Room No. 02 at Gate No. 369/2. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but being near the main road helps with getting things moved. We have been here for a good bit of time now. The building is simple and we just focus on the fabric work. There isn't a lot of extra space, so we have to be smart about how we stack the rolls. Sometimes the weather makes the road outside a bit of a mess, but we manage to keep things moving inside. It is a small team here. We handle the fabrics ourselves and try to keep a decent handle on what’s in stock. People often miss the turnoff because it’s just one of many gates along the stretch, but once you know where we are, it's easy enough. We don’t have a big front desk or anyone to greet you with a coffee. Usually, you’ll just find someone busy with a list or moving some boxes around. It’s a practical setup. We just deal with the daily tasks of running a fabric business without making a big fuss about it. We’ve seen the area change a bit over the years, but our little spot stays pretty much the same. It's just honest work day in and day out on the highway. We like the quiet out here most of the time. It gives us space to focus.
