Sibling Shoes

Sibling Shoes has a bit of a mixed setup since there is a connection to Purva in Ahmedabad but the main physical spot we deal with is on Kodal Hill Road in Bandra West Mumbai. Being in Mumbai especially around the Apsara Compound means things are always moving and shaking. It is tucked away in a spot that might be hard to find if you aren't actually looking for it. We have stuff that was bought from different places and brought here to be sorted out. The compound itself is one of those typical spots where space is tight and everyone is kind of working on top of each other which can be a bit much on hot days. We spend our time checking boxes and making sure the shoes are organized properly. The air in Bandra is a bit salty because of the sea being close by but mostly we just smell the rubber and the dust from the stock. It’s a lot of manual work lifting things and shifting heavy piles from one side of the room to the other. Sibling Shoes isn’t a giant corporation or anything like that. We are just a few people trying to keep the inventory straight and get things sent out to where they need to go. Sometimes we talk about the Ahmedabad location but the day-to-day work happens right here in the compound. It’s dusty and the fans are always humming.
