We've been here at Shop No 2 in the Harmyadham Building for a good while now. It's tucked away right behind the Ram Mandir in Vile Parle East, which is a quiet enough spot most days, though it gets busy during festival times. Most people around here just call us when they need their regular medicines or if someone in the house has a fever. It’s not a huge place, just a standard bhandar with shelves reaching up to the ceiling. We spend a lot of time checking expiry dates and making sure the fridge stays at the right temperature for the injections. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the traffic near the station, but we manage. My staff knows most of the regular customers by their names. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s mostly just boxes of tablets, syrups, and the occasional first-aid kit. People walk in with their paper prescriptions, and we do our best to find what they need quickly. Life in Vile Parle moves at its own pace. We open up early and stay late because you never know when someone might need a strip of paracetamol or some cough syrup. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the construction nearby, but we keep things as clean as we can. We just focus on keeping the stock full. It’s practical work, honestly. Nothing too complicated, just making sure the right medicine goes to the right person.
