Our place is over at B-1, Piccadilly Flats, 57-J, on Clare Road in Byculla. It is a bit of an old-school spot, right near the petrol pump which everyone uses as a landmark. Mumbai is always loud and moving, and Byculla is no different. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or meeting people to talk about various event arrangements they need help with. The office is basically where all the planning happens before we head out to different venues across the city. It gets quite crowded with files and notes sometimes because there is always something going on. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that, just a functional space in the flats where we can sit down and work through the logistics. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard for people to reach us on time, but that is just part of living in this part of town. We’ve been at this for a while now, so we know the local suppliers and how to get things moved around through the narrow lanes. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the details are written down correctly so nothing gets missed. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the schedules are set and everyone knows where they need to be.
