Kalbadevi is always a whirlwind of people and carts, and our office at 52/B is right in the heart of it. We are located on the 1st floor of the Chotani Building. It’s an older building with high ceilings and those narrow wooden stairs that have been there forever. When you walk in, you’ll see stacks of parcels and papers everywhere. We handle a lot of the local courier work for the merchants in this area. It’s a bit of a cramped space, but we know where everything is. We don’t have any of those modern fancy tracking screens or a big reception area. Just a couple of old desks and a landline that rings quite a lot. We’ve known the other people in Chotani Building for years, so it feels like a small community. Sometimes the noise from the street downstairs is so loud we have to shout a bit on the phone. We start early in the morning when the market opens and stay until the last bag is packed. It’s a lot of manual work, sorting through addresses and making sure the boys know where to go. We don't use much technology, just our logs and a bit of common sense. If you are looking for us, just head up to the first floor. It’s not a polished corporate office, but it’s where we’ve been doing our business for a very long time. It suits us just fine and we keep things moving.
