Our office is on the first floor of Ambika Terrace, right over in the Masjid area. We are very close to the Sai Baba Mandir, so you can usually hear the bells or see the crowds from our window. Being a courier business means our day is basically just bags, envelopes, and a lot of logbooks. We have boys who are constantly coming in and out on their bikes to pick up or drop off parcels. It gets quite hectic in the afternoons when everyone is trying to get their mail out before the day ends. The stairs up to our floor are a bit narrow, and we are always telling the delivery guys to watch their step. We have been doing this for a long time, so we know most of the regular customers by their faces. We don't have a website with fancy tracking that works perfectly every time; we mostly just use the phone and our own notes to keep track of where things are. It is a noisy, busy place but we like the energy of the Masjid area. Sometimes things get delayed because of the rain or a bike breakdown, but we just try to get it sorted as fast as we can. It is a lot of paper shifting and making sure the addresses are written clearly enough for us to read. That is how it goes here.
