Shree Creation

We are located in the Parsi Bakery Compound in Prabhadevi. It’s an interesting spot to work because you can often smell the bread from the bakery next door. Our space is filled with rolls of fabric, different colored threads, and various bits of design work we are currently putting together. People come to Shree Creation when they have something specific in mind for their clothes or some other fabric project. It’s not a huge factory; it’s more of a place where we sit and work on things piece by piece. My workspace is usually covered in scraps and measuring tapes. We’ve been here in Prabhadevi for quite some time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. But the compound stays mostly the same. Customers stop by to check on their orders or to pick out a new material they like. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights, just a practical space where the sewing happens. Sometimes we’re working late to finish a batch of items, and other times it’s a bit slower and we can take our time with the details. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work, but it’s what we know how to do. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make things that look decent and hold up well over time. It is just a regular small shop life.
