About Shivom Weddings – Event & Planning in Mumbai
We are up on the sixth floor of a building in Mulund Camp in room 601. It’s a bit of a climb if the elevator is acting up which happens more than we would like. Our office is where we do all the planning for weddings. It is usually full of fabric swatches and color charts and big notebooks filled with lists. It is not the most organized place because we are always pulling things out to show people. We spend a lot of our time talking to families and hearing about what they want. It can be a lot of pressure because weddings are a big deal but we just take it one step at a time. Most of our actual work happens at the venues themselves so the office is just where we store our files and take calls. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a functional space where we can sit and work. We drink a lot of tea while we go over schedules and talk to vendors. Sometimes we stay late into the evening to make sure every detail is sorted out. It’s just a small team of us here. We aren't a big company with lots of departments. We just do the work ourselves and try to keep everything on track. It is a lot of hard work but we are used to the pace by now. We find that a simple approach works best for most people.
