Shiva Mandap Decorators

Our warehouse and office sit right on the ITPL Main Road in Andheri East, near Kundanahalli Road Number 8. Being in the MIDC area means there is always a lot of noise from the trucks and the construction going on nearby. We share the space near Ambedkar Nagar with a few other small businesses. The yard is usually full of bamboo poles, wooden planks, and stacks of colorful fabric that we use for the mandaps. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around in the heat. The staff stays pretty busy loading up the vehicles early in the morning before the traffic on the main road gets too bad. We have a small cabin where we keep the books and take calls, but most of the work happens outside in the open air. The floor of the shed is concrete and has a few cracks from years of moving heavy equipment. We don’t really have a reception area, so if someone stops by, they usually just find us among the stacks of pipes and decorations. The tea stall down the road is where we spend most of our breaks. It is a hardworking environment and things can get pretty messy when we are preparing for a big job. We just focus on keeping the inventory organized and making sure the trucks are ready to go when they are needed. It is a gritty part of town, but we have been here long enough to feel at home.
