We are located in the Swami Narayan Building over in Bhoiwada, specifically on the 3rd floor at 24/3rd. It’s one of those older buildings where the walls have a lot of stories to tell if they could talk. The walk up to the third floor keeps us fit since the lift is often out of service or occupied with heavy goods. Our office is number 72, and once you get inside, it’s a bit of a sanctuary from the noise of the street below. Bhoiwada is a cramped area, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we’ve come to appreciate. We have some old wooden desks and chairs that have been with us since the beginning. The windows are small, but they let in enough light to see what we are doing without having the overhead lights on all the time. Files are piled up in the corners, and there’s always a calendar on the wall with various dates circled in red ink. We spend our days answering the phone and writing out invoices or notes for the next day’s work. Sometimes we get birds nesting on the window ledge, which is a nice distraction. It’s a very plain workspace, but it serves its purpose for everything we need to handle. We don’t really bother with decorating much; we just focus on the tasks at hand and getting home on time after a long day in the building.
