Shekar Jha

My name is Shekar Jha and I work out of Satdal Apartment in Andheri West. It’s an older building, and I’m up on the ninth floor in unit C 97. The view from up here is mostly other buildings and the busy streets of Azad. I’ve been living and working in Andheri for a long time. It’s a fast-paced place where everyone is always in a hurry. My setup is pretty basic. I have a desk, a couple of chairs, and a lot of files. I don’t have a big team or a fancy lobby. People usually come by when they have specific things they need help with. It’s a quiet space compared to the noise downstairs on the road. Getting to the ninth floor can be a bit of a wait if the lift is being slow, which happens sometimes. I spend a lot of my day on the phone or working through documents. It’s not the kind of job that gets a lot of attention, but it’s what I do. I’ve lived in this city long enough to know how things work. I try to keep my business straightforward. There’s no point in making things more complicated than they need to be. Most of the people I work with are locals or people who were referred by someone I know. It’s a small world in that way. I just do my part and keep things moving along. It takes a lot of patience to deal with the paperwork every day, but it is necessary work.
