Shamiana

We've been running Shamiana for some time now inside the Heera Panna Mall over in Andheri West. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know how it gets with the traffic and the crowds, especially on weekends when everyone is out shopping. Our spot is right there in the middle of it all. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a place where we get things done and handle our day-to-day business. Some days are really busy and we barely have time to sit down, while other days are a bit slower. We see all kinds of people coming through the mall doors. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the stuff we have to keep track of, but we make it work. Most of the staff has been around for a while, so we know how each other works without having to say much. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Mumbai, we just want to do our job right and keep things moving. Sometimes the mall lights are too bright or the music from the next shop is too loud, but that’s just life in a mall. We usually start our day early to get things ready before the shutters go up. By the time we head home to our families, we’re pretty tired. It is just honest work, really. No big secrets here.
