You can find us in Khar West, right in the Union Park area. Our office is 1204 in the Ocean View building. It’s a nice spot because we are right opposite the old Pali Hills Hotel. It’s a bit of a fancy neighborhood for a textile business, but we’ve been here for a while and it works for us. Living and working in Mumbai City, especially in Khar, means you’re always in the middle of the noise and the action. We have a view of the surrounding streets, and you can see the cars crawling along. Shalu Textile Industries Llp is run by a small group of us. We handle the manufacturing side of things, even though the actual heavy machines are elsewhere. This office is where the planning happens. We spend hours looking at designs and talking to vendors. The room is usually filled with rolls of fabric and binders full of invoices. It’s a bit cramped because we keep everything close at hand. We don’t have a lot of corporate rules; we just come in and get to work. Sometimes we go down to the local stalls for lunch. It’s a practical way to live. The building, Ocean View, is well-known around here, so people usually find us without too much trouble. We just keep our heads down and focus on the textiles. It's a busy life but it's ours. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the city.
