Shail International

Shail International is located at Plot No. 27 within the Mistry Industry Complex. This is in the MIDC area of Andheri East, right on Cross Road A, just off Mahakali Caves Road. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai, as you can imagine. There’s always someone unloading a truck or moving pallets around. Our office is a bit small and usually cluttered with shipping documents and samples of the goods we trade. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby to greet people. Usually, someone is just on the phone trying to track a shipment or talking to a customs agent. It gets quite noisy with the factories nearby, but we’re used to it by now. We deal with the international side of things, so we’re often checking the time in other countries. It’s not a glamorous job, despite the "international" name. It’s a lot of emails and making sure the boxes are packed correctly so they don't break on the ship. We have a small team, and we’ve all been together for several years. We usually get our snacks from the little canteen at the corner of the complex. We don't have any big mission statements. We just try to get the orders processed without any errors. Sometimes things get stuck at the port, and we have a stressful few days, but that’s just how the business goes. We’ve been at Plot 27 for a long time and we know how to handle it.
