Shah Shoes

Shah Shoes is located in Purvi Niwas over in Nutan Nagar, right in G Block. We are pretty close to Bandra Station and the Bandra Talao, so there’s always a lot of foot traffic. It’s a busy area with people jumping off trains and heading home. We’ve got all sorts of shoes crammed into the shop. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. Dealing with footwear means you’re on your feet a lot, ironically enough. We see all kinds of people coming through, from commuters to locals who’ve lived in Bandra West forever. The shop has a bit of an old-school feel to it. We don't use a lot of fancy displays or bright lights. It's just shoes on shelves and a few chairs for people to try them on. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but that’s Bandra for you. We just keep the fan going and keep working. It’s a family-style environment here, nothing too formal. We like being near the station because it keeps things lively. You never know who's going to walk in next. We aren't trying to be a big mall store. We’re just a local shoe shop doing our thing. Cleaning the glass out front is a daily chore because of the dust from the street, but it’s just part of owning a shop near the station. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay for many more. It is a good life.
