Shaadi Sakhi

Shaadi Sakhi is a small shop, number 8, located in the Shreerang Building on Chandavarkar Road. If you are in Matunga East, you’ll find us right across from the Bank of Baroda. It’s a nice neighborhood, very traditional and always buzzing with people shopping for various things. Our shop isn't very big, but we’ve packed a lot into it. We spend our days surrounded by colorful things and talking to people about their plans. It’s a lot of coordination and checking details. We don’t have a big corporate board or anything; it’s just us handling the day-to-day operations. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several people come in at once, but we manage. We’ve lived and worked around Mumbai for a long time, so we know how stressful planning things can be. We try to keep the atmosphere in the shop calm. There’s usually a bit of music playing in the background. We have notebooks full of contacts and ideas scattered on the counter. It’s a very hands-on way to work. We aren't interested in being some high-end luxury brand. We just want to be a helpful place where locals can come and get things sorted out. The Bank of Baroda across the street is a good landmark for people who haven't visited us before. We like being part of the Matunga community. It feels like home to us every day we open up.
