Our place is in the Silverline Building, which is part of the Heritage Complex in Mira Village. If you know where the Mahavishnu Temple is, we’re right behind that in unit A/403. It’s a quiet enough area most days, except during festivals when the temple gets crowded. Sevak Catering & Event Management is basically run from here. We do a lot of our planning at the kitchen table or on the small desk in the corner. It's not a commercial kitchen in this building; we use it mostly for the paperwork and meetings. The smells from the temple sometimes drift in, which is nice. We started this because we liked food and helping people throw parties. It’s grown into a full-time thing for us. We have lots of lists stuck to the fridge and calendars marked up with dates. Sometimes the apartment feels a bit small when we have too many samples or decorations stored here. Mira Village is a good place to be based. We know the local vendors and where to get the ingredients. We aren't some big corporation with hundreds of staff. It’s just us and a few regular helpers we call when things get busy. We put in long hours, especially on weekends when most events happen. It’s hard work, but we’re used to it. We just want to make sure the food is ready and the event goes okay.
