Selective Minerals & Color Industries (P) Ltd. is tucked away in 403 Vinayak Chambers on 4th Road in Khar West. It’s an office setting, so it’s a bit different from a factory floor, but we still deal with very physical things like minerals and pigments. Being in Khar means we are right in the middle of a lot of hustle and bustle. From our window, we can see the street life of 4th Road, which is always busy. Our day mostly consists of talking to suppliers, managing batches of colors, and making sure the minerals get where they need to go. We have samples of different powders and dyes around the office, which can get a little messy if a bag isn't closed right. It’s a small team here at Vinayak Chambers, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to checking the inventory lists. We don't have a big marketing department or anything flashy. We just focus on the colors and the raw materials that our customers need for their own businesses. It’s a lot of coordination and keeping track of details. The building itself is an older one, but it’s sturdy and serves us well for what we do. We like being in this part of town even if the traffic can be a nightmare sometimes. There is always a new batch of color to check.
