Sunbeams Bags Shoppe is located at 1 & 2 Surang Shopping Centre on Station Road. Being in Santacruz West, especially right by the station, means it is always noisy and crowded outside. We’ve been here for a long time, and we’ve seen the shops around us change many times. Our shop is full of bags of all shapes and sizes. We have them hanging from the ceiling and stacked on every available shelf. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people come in at once. Station Road has a very specific energy, with all the commuters rushing past. We get a lot of people who just pop in because they saw a bag they liked while walking to the train. We don't do any online ads or anything. We just rely on the people walking by. The shop isn't modern or polished. The floor tiles are old, and the shelves are made of simple wood. We spend our day rearranging the bags and helping people find something that fits their budget. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. Sometimes the rain comes down really hard and people crowd into the shopping centre to stay dry. We don't mind. It’s part of life in Santacruz. We just keep the shop open and wait for the next customer. It’s a simple, honest business and we’re happy with that.
