I've been at Kalpana Chs for quite a while now. It's a nice spot on 11th Road in Khar West. Most days involve just getting through the to-do list and dealing with whatever comes up. People usually find us because they live nearby or someone told them about what we do here. The office is on the eighth floor, so it’s actually pretty quiet compared to the street noise down below. It’s not a huge setup, just a couple of rooms where we handle things. Sometimes the elevator acts up, but that's just part of being in an older building in Mumbai. I try to keep things simple. We don't have fancy brochures or a front desk person greeting everyone who walks in. It’s just me and the work. Khar is always busy, but once you step inside 803-804, things slow down a bit. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just organizing files. It’s a practical way to work. I’ve always preferred being in a residential-commercial mix area like this because you can get a good coffee just around the corner without having to drive across town. It feels like home even when it's work. I don’t really see the point in making things sound bigger than they are. We just do what we do every day and hope the traffic isn't too bad when it's time to head out. It's a straightforward life here. It isn't always exciting, but it's consistent.
