Poonam Chopra

Poonam Chopra is based at Oberoi Sky Heights in Andheri West, right across from Joggers Park. Living and working from the 2101 flat in the A-Wing gives us a pretty wide view of the area, though mostly we are looking at our screens or files. The building is quite tall, so the wind really whistles against the glass when it’s stormy out. Lokhandwala is a busy part of the city, and you can hear the faint sounds of the park and the traffic even from all the way up here. We don’t have a big corporate staff or anything like that. It’s just a small group of us handling things in a way that makes sense. Sometimes the internet acts up because of the height, or we spend too long waiting for the lift when the building is busy. We usually have lunch together in the small kitchen area, just talking about whatever is happening. It’s a very practical setup. The lobby downstairs is always full of people coming and going, but once you get up to the twenty-first floor, it’s a bit more isolated and calm. We like the fact that the park is right there for a quick walk if the day gets too long. It’s a simple way to work, staying in a place that feels like home while keeping things moving forward. There is no fancy reception, just us in our workspace.
