Being in Maker Tower L-62 at Cuffe Parade means I’m right in the middle of a lot of history. This building has been around for ages and you can really feel it when you walk through the lobby. My office is up on the 6th floor. It’s a solid place to work. I spend most of my mornings just sorting through emails and getting the paperwork in order. The view isn't bad, but mostly I'm just looking at my desk. It’s a professional environment but I try to keep my own space feeling a bit more relaxed. I don’t really like the stiff atmosphere some of the bigger firms have. I’ve been here long enough that the security guards know me by name. It’s a small operation, really. Just me and the occasional help when things get too piled up. Cuffe Parade can be a bit of a trek for people coming from the suburbs, but I’ve always liked the vibe of South Bombay. There's a certain pace here that you don't find elsewhere. I keep my hours pretty regular, though sometimes I stay late if a project is dragging on. There isn't any fancy marketing here, just honest work done at a steady pace. It’s worked for me so far. I like the routine of coming in, checking the mail, and just getting on with whatever needs doing. It is simple and it keeps me busy enough without being overwhelming most of the time.
