Sandeep Barot

I work out of Office Number 102 on the ground floor over in O Andheri West. The building is in Sakinaka, which is always a very busy area with lots of people and cars moving around. My place is quite close to the Oshiwara Police Station, so it is easy to give people directions. The office is not very big, just a desk and some chairs for people to sit while we talk. I have lived and worked in this part of Mumbai for a long time. My day usually starts with checking files and answering messages. Since I am on the ground floor, I get a lot of noise from the street outside. People sometimes just walk in because they saw the name on the door. It is a very simple setup. I don't have a team of secretaries or anything. I handle most of the things myself. The walls are covered with some old calendars and charts. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, but the fan keeps things moving. I spend a lot of time reading through documents and writing things down. It is steady work and I like being in Sakinaka because everything is nearby. Whether it is a quick bite from a local stall or getting some stationery, I don't have to go far. I stay here until the evening when the traffic outside gets really heavy and then I head home. It is a quiet life in a loud city.
